This popular restaurant is one of Antigua's fine dining places - a must to
visit: just off the cruise ship docks right in the heart of Antigua's
capital, St. John's.
Hemingways is fun during
the day, romantic in the evenings, it's special!
Hemingways is located in the green and white building overlooking St. Mary's
Street and Heritage Quay. This West Indian gingerbread styled wooden
structure was once a well known hotel called Jardines's. Built in the early
1800's it is a perfect example of the kind of place frequented by the
celebrated author.
The cool veranda terrace is an ideal place to have a drink while shopping or
waiting for your taxi.
We have the largest Caribbean rum collection in Antigua and a wide selection
of tropical drinks with such thirst quenchers as Hemingways fruit punch or
pineapple daiquiri (made from local pineapple and rum).
For lunch: soups, salads, sandwiches and island seafood specialties,
including local lobster.
In the evening: the best Creole cuisine, fresh Caribbean seafood dishes, and
choice U.S. steaks.
Daily lunch and dinner specials and excellent wines served by a friendly and
attentive staff.
Your hosts Ann, Lowell and Wayne and chef Jean-Francois Bellanger welcome
you to enjoy their freshly prepared delights.
For those wishing some nightlife after dinner, there is King's casino and
other entertainment nearby.
U.S. cash and Travelers Checks accepted and U.S. change given, also major
credit cards.
